OUTREACH MINISTRY
Meals on Wheels, Community Involvement
Matthew 25:37-40 (KJV)
“Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took them in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, in as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
We believe that the church is a missionary church and we strive to be mission–minded as we seek to share the gospel through giving back through our “Meals and Wheels ministry and volunteerism with our schools and organizations that are community-driven. It is through this ministry that we believe in the words of the late Dr./Rev. Martin Luther King, “you don’t have to be great to be a servant.” God is more interested in our available then our ability. As pastor/leader, we want everyone to find a place where they can give something back because truly it is more blessed to give than to receive.

NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Psalms 71:9 (KJV)
“Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.”
Emmanuel Baptist Church (EBC) believes that everyone has something to share with others. For one hour once a month, we let our lights shine in the local nursing home facility by bringing hope, love, joy, and peace of Jesus Christ to those who may feel lonely and broken. Through praising, praying, and proclaiming the word of God, we find that the more we serve in this ministry the more we receive from God through the residence of Chateau D’ville Rehab & Retirement.

Marriage Ministry
Heart2Heart
Proverbs 18:22 (KJV)
“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.”
Part of our mission statement at EBC states that we are “family-focused”. We are passionate about seeing marriages and relationships grow and become what God has ordained it to be. Our purpose for this ministry is to empower couples with information and experiences that may help them to navigate through the ministry of marriage. We believe that in order for us to have a strong community and church we have to a Christ-centered marriage.
Currently, sessions occur on an as needed basis; but, it is our goal to grow this ministry into a monthly fellowship of empowerment.

PRISON MINISTRY
Luke 4:18-19 (NIV)
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”
We believe the prison ministry is one of the greatest opportunities to reach lost souls for Christ. Emmanuel Baptist Church (EBC) prison ministry believes that all people are created in God’s image and that no life is beyond God’s reach.
We have witnessed many young men giving their lives to Jesus Christ. This ministry is a part of EBC’s mission statement of loving God, each other, and the lost. If you have a called and passion to share the gospel, then EBC prison ministry team would love to have you be a part this great ministry opportunity. When we do it to the least of the people, we do it also unto the Lord. We are constantly reminded about the message of the cross. We can take broken people and situation and make them whole again. The thief on the right hand of the cross received salvation and not condemnation.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Sunday School has always been the foundation of growth and development to young and old alike in the body of Christ. Part of our mission at EBC states that we are “bible-based” and part of that comes by way of rightly dividing God’s word through spiritual lessons. Christian education is the heart of Christian growth. It is our intent to meet you where you’re at but not leave you where you’re at. It is in the mandate of Christ that we go from membership to discipleship and we encourage the whole body to join in this ministry by teaching and receiving God’s holy word.
Sunday School is now held virtually on Saturdays via Zoom

Deaconess Ministry
3rd Tuesday @ 7:00pm
Romans 16:1-2 (NIV)
“I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you for she has been the benefactor of many people including me.”
As deaconesses, we are committed to serving God and all mankind, as the Holy Spirit directs us and as the pastor calls on us. It is through this ministry that we set aside 30 minutes of time for empowerment, encouragement, uplifting, sharing, and praying. We call this ministry Sister2Sister because we are our sisters’ keeper.

Temple Guard Ministry
1 Peter 5:8 (NIV)
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Time has really brought about change. We have too often seen violence being perpetrated in the church and it has people in fear of attending worship service. We know that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but, he has given us a sound mind and in our sound mind, we want to make sure that our parishioners are safe. This ministry is design to protect parishioners in and out of our worship services. It is our ultimate goal that members can feel safe in worship. Therefore, we have honorable men whose duties and responsibility are to safeguard in and out the sanctuary.
